Classification of Membership

Members were allowed to use the suffix “MSLOA”. This facility was NOT extended to Associate Members and they are NOT eligible to use the suffix AMSLOA.
All Members were authorized to use “OPTOMETRIST” (Opt.) as a Prefix. Once again the Associate Members are NOT authorized to use this prefix.
Presidents, Chairpersons of SLOA who had academic qualifications and served full term of office and Fellowship Diplomates were awarded “SENIOR OPTOMETRIST” status . They are entitled to use the title “Snr. Opt.” as a prefix to their names.
